Did you know there are twenty-four species of slugs in the UK! Slugs can cause a lot of damage; they can climb to considerable heights and are most active after dark or in wet weather. We offer a variety of reasonably priced products for protecting the more vulnerable plants, such as hostas and young vegetable plants. We offer non-chemical control products such as slug traps or copper slug tape. If chemical control is desired, slug pellets containing metaldehyde are very effective. Alternatively we offer a fantastic product called Growing Success Advanced Slug Killer.  This product still comes in the form of pellets and contains ferric phosphate that is safe for pets and children and can be used for organic gardening.
