Most of us have birds in our garden at one time or another but perhaps not as often as we might like or indeed the sort we might like. One way to encourage more birds to visit your garden is to provide them with food and shelter.

A bird table near the house makes the perfect platform for adults and children to get to know the different birds who occupy your garden. In urban areas particularly, nesting sites can be at a premium and bird boxes will provide secure and comfortable nest places than would otherwise be available.
